Letter to Thomas Mroczkowski
November 15, 2002 Mr. Thomas Mroczkowski, President, Northern Michigan Hospital, 416 Connable Avenue, Petoskey, MI, 49770 Dear Mr. Mroczkowski: The media has reported your comments covering the current unfair labor practice strike. Your Hospital negotiator was clearly told that the Hospital proposal was rejected. If you have any uncertainty, please consider this letter as confirmation of the rejection of the Hospital offer. More disturbing are your false comments that the RNs did not pursue issues concerning patient care. Patient care has always been a driving force in the RNs' attempt to achieve a voice with the Hospital. Your actions and comments are causing irreparable harm to the community and the relationship of NMH and its RNs. Your RNs are part of the community and big lie propaganda does not serve the Hospital, the community or the RNs. Finally, when the Hospital determines it is prepared to bargain in good faith, we will make ourselves available. We will await word. Sincerely, Sharon Norton, Business Agent, General Teamsters Local 406 |
